Regardless of your specific brand of feeder, as long as you have 10 inches of clearance on your container, our motors will work. Installation hardware is included with every one of our Game Country USA feeder mechanisms.
The Boss Buck feeders that I have seen are a self serve
protein type feeder, although they do offer a conversion kit. The only problem
with this kit is the digital timer. I would check to see if you could order the
conversion kit without the digital timer and install one of Game Country’s Day
II “set it and forget it” controllers made in the USA.I hope this helps.

Dawn or sunrise occurs at a different time everyday and the Game Country mechanisms adjust accordingly. It also depends on if the mechanism is on top of a hill or in the bottom of a draw, it adjust accordingly based on the available light and adjust itself on a daily basis.
Position the battery on its side with the springs facing the rear of the case and push the battery beyond the retaining screw located at the front of the bottom plate. It does not matter how it is rotated. Plug & play.
A rechargeable battery is highly recommended. If not available, then use a good quality alkaline battery. For example, the Energizer alkaline or Duracell alkaline are good choices. Avoid using Heavy Duty or Super Heavy Duty batteries.
1/2 to 3/4 inch gap from the bottom of the feed tube to the base of the spinner plate. As you approach a 1 inch gap you may start to see spillage. It also depends on the size of the feed being used. This also depends on the type of funnel being used.
Pellets can cause bridging in the feed tube. Another type to avoid is corn that has lots of stems and pieces of cob. Also sweet feeds such as a molasses based feed which can clog up a feeder.
Dusk or sunset also occurs at a different time every day. The length of day is also changing. For example: in the summer the length of day is as long as 14:19 hours to only 10 hours in winter.
